How Can I Find My Network Security Key Or Passphrase?

i just got a laptop, and i need to connect it to the DSL wireless network. it asks me for the network security key or passphrase, and the owner of the comp. doesn’t remember it. is there a way i can find it? pleeease help me!!!

    Mine is on the router itself. Try looking there for a label marked with the number.

    You have a couple of options here:
    1. Go to the router, there should be a reset button. Push the reset button, and the default settings will be put into effect.
    2. Go to a computer that is already connected to the network. Look at the blue windows bar and find the computer icon. Click on the computer icon. Click on the “support” tag, and look for where it says “Default Gateway”. Write down the number next to it.
    Now, type that number in your url bar (including the periods). Login with the username as either (admin or user), and leave the password blank, or use (admin or user) if that doesn’t work. Once you are inside, you should be able to find the passcode somewhere.
