How Do I Find My Network Security Key?

I’ve been using my laptop on a wireless router based from my other computer. Apparently my laptop decided to forget the network security key, and I have no idea how to find out what it is. I’m not too familiar with wireless networks, so bear with me.
Thanks!

    hmm..
the problem here is you didn’t mention your router’s name..
    ok
let me tell the solutions from the scratch………….
BEFORE DOING ANYTHING TRY THIS SOLUTION 1ST
    follow this link firsthttp://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;…
if it doesn’t work, then go below…….
you have to do all these things from your wireless or wired connected computer(not from your network disconnected laptop)
    1. start–>run–>type”cmd”
and type “ipconfig” in the command prompt window.
you find an address called default gateway..(which will generally be 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1
    2. now open internet explorer or mozilla firefox and type that address in the address bar..
it will ask for the username* and password**..enter it.
3.click on wireless tab and in that click on wireless security(this is for linksys. other routers may have different name but somewhat similar)
4.there you will find the password
    * – the default user name will be 99% “admin” in some cases it will be administrator
** – the default password for linksys is “admin” or try with “password” “administrator” blank.
if nothing worked then surf the manufacturer’s website for default usernamr and password..
if the username and/password has been changed manually by someone, then you have the option of either contacting that person who setup the router or resetting the router….
to know how to reset the router..
    follow this link..http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;…
but, if you reset your modem you may need to setup the router again for connecting to the internet..

Open u r internet and type u r Router ip address (192.168.1.1) mostly
once u r router page is open go to wireless. Under the sub menu u can find wireless securty

  3. Bus Driver says:

You need to open the router interface page to find the key. It will be an IP address such as 192.168.1.1 or something depending on what type of router you use. This addy can be found in your router manual. You put this number in your browser address bar and enter.
